About Radio Sailing Shop

Radio Sailing Shop was established in 2009 by Denis Mc Loughlin and Cassie Midgely and has provided prompt, efficient and friendly service to get you sailing and keep you sailing!

In July 2015, Andrew and Loredana Cook, after receiving a call from Denis and Cassie wanting to go off sailing took over running the shop.

Andrew has been making and exporting r/c racing and pond yachts for over 30 years and having sailed many classes is also a driving force behind the tiny ‘footy’ and larger ‘RG-65” international r/c classes in Australia.

As well as this Andrew holds outright wins in National and International Regattas in larger sailboats, but its all about fun really!

When not sailing little boats a hectic schedule of sailing keelboats, dinghys and classic yachts rounds out the sailing schedule for the two.

Lore’s biggest challenge is stopping Andrew acquiring too many classic pond yachts when and where ever he sees them, then re-homing and restoring them!

Based in Hampton, Victoria by the Bay of Port Phillip, their local yacht club is Sandringham Yacht Club where Andrew’s family were founding members over 100 years ago, starting earlier sailing and racing off picnic point in the late 1800’s.

The year 2017 saw the birth of  twin daughters and after a 3 month stay in intensive care as micro premmies they have been radio and dinghy sailing already!

Besides being the youngest members ever signed up to Sandringham Yacht Club they are also the youngest twin members ever!

As Ratty said in Wind in the Willows - there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Andrew and Lore look forward to being of service to the Radio Sailing community, and stocking and supplying quality fittings at all times.

We only stock product we would use ourselves. - good gear, breeds confidence.
